Testing the preview release on 40m in the CQWPX contest quite a busy band tonight, lots of big signals
and yes this is the Paul-1 color scheme...
The new Version of SDR-Console V3 is now out in preview, for everyone to download, it's well worth a look, it will install in its own folder independent of v2.3 so you can run together, not all options are added yet... but as simon said, it's a taste of things to come...
Looks like there will be a new SDR player in town soon, the LimeSDR.... 100Khz - 3.8Ghz this is going to be one to watch, no prices yet, but the specifications seem good, we are waiting with baited breath for the results of any tests, I hope the company will provide windows API's and ExTIO interfaces so that many of the SDR users already out there can take advantage of this radio.
Specs: Key components:
- LMS7002M Lime Microsystems Transceiver with continuous Frequency range of 100 kHz – 3.8 GHz (Datasheet)
- Cyclone IV EP4CE40F23 Altera FPGA (Datasheet) also compatible with EP4CE30F23
- USB3 CYUSB3014-BZXC Cypress Microcontroller (Datasheet)
- 4 x TxOut and 6 x RxIn U.FL connectors for RF cables
- microUSB3 connector or plug, external power supply (optional) and status LEDs
- 256 MBytes of DDR2 SDRAM (Datasheet)
- Size: 100 mm x 60 mm
- Interface: USB3 for control, data transfer and power
- Power Output (CW): up to 6.5 dBm
- Covering: Wi-Fi, 2G, 3G, LTE, any other air interfaces
I think this could be a great device if the company support it right and don't just tie it to GNURadio, if the TX side is using the OpenHPSDR protocols, the SDR-Console V3 should be able to support the TX also...
Here are a few of my videos using SDR-Console just messing around with different options.

Doing some testing on SDR-Console V3, prior to its UTP#1 (User Technical Preview) release on March 25th. Simon has done a fantastic job on the new version, and today I'm playing with the SSB squelch which has been much anticipated since earlier versions. Running the SDRPlay RSP as 5Mhz bandwidth.
SDRPlay released an ADS-B driver for the RSP and ADS-B signals, to allow the RSP for use on aircraft tracking, I set one of my RSP's up for feeding the data to FlightRadar24, if you send a data feed to FR24, you get a FREE Premium account. Seems to be working quite well, range is about the same as using a RTL Dongle to decode, but the aircraft tracking total seems to be greater. Below image is Dump1090_SDRplay feeding Virtual Radar Server, which then feeds out to FR24feeder. Will have it running 24/7 will update will stats later...
Running Virtual Radar Server on a local dedicated radio PC
If you have an SDRPlay, below is the link for the ADS-B Software.
Virtual Radar Server is available here http://www.virtualradarserver.co.uk/

So these are the remaining countries/entities that I need.... 22 remaining, some are not so rare, just never on at the same time, need to make a more concerted effort, like Macao & Bangladesh, but some I may never get to work, like North Korea or Syria.
